I am currently taking legal proceedings against Ewing real estate for failing there duty of care when managing my property. ALL OTHER LANDLORDS BEWARE. The only reason I can see for there actions is that Property Manager/Agent had a relationship with the tenant that appeared to supersede their fiduciary obligations to me or was it General Negligence and failure in duty of care. 1) They did not check rental history of the tenant. 2)They let the tenant in without collecting the bond and when they did collect the bond 6 months latter they falsified there documents. 3)They let the tenant get 12 weeks behind in rent before it went to the tribunal. 5) At the tribunal they ask the registrar to give the tenant more time to proof that there rent ledger was in error. 6) Three days after the hearing I get a letter from the managing director (JARAD) informing me that they are ending the management agreement with me. I had to organize the Sheriff to do the eviction, DO NOT USE EWING REAL ESTATE if you value your rental investments.
As a Landlord we feel very let down by Ewing Real Estate. The damage list done by the tennant, which we have photo's of were never even picked up by the Property Managers. To any Landlords with Ewings you really need to check your property, as they don't do what they are paid to do. Happy to take your Money though. On top of all that when you challenge them, they make out you're a difficult Landlord. Jared it is not ok for Dogs to chew decking and it's not ok for tennant to gouge out kitchen doors. These are just a few of the things that this company let the Tennant walkway from, leaving us with the Bill.
